The Importance of Sri.

Sri or Lakshmi is the consort of Lord Narayana. It is believed that Lakshmi resides at the right side chest of Lord Narayana. It is customary to worship the consort of Lord Narayana first before worshipping Him. Sri.Lakshmi has got such power that once She accedes to the prayer of the devotee ,She forwards it to Lord Narayana who has no other option other than to agree. 

Lord Narayana the Supreme.

"Nanmuganai narayanan padaithan........." This means that Lord Brahma was created by Lord narayana! Brahma gave Lord Shiva etc are what the epics of Vaishnavism speak. So it is considered that once you are a devotee of Lord Narayana ,The most supreme of all, there is no need to worship Lord shiva etc....A devotee of Lord Narayana gets eternal happiness,Moksha the ultimate liberation from this world.

Significance of Acharya (Guru)

Acharya (guru) is placed in a high pedestal in all religions. Whatever good he preaches is taken by his disciples as sacred and it is believed that Guru is the person who shows the path for enlightenment and also unltimately make the disciples realise the existence of the Omnicient, omnipresent, omnipotent..... Almighty.

Kabirdas ,one of the ancient Hindi poets says if he happens to stand before both his guru(Teacher) and the Almighty ,he will first touch the feet of his Guru only becasue he has only shown Him.

Among the 12 Alwars, Sri Madura kavigal sang 10 stanzas in tamil (Which forms partof the sacred Tamil Hymn "Nalayira Divya prabandham" in praise of his mentor Sri Nammalwar only. All other alwars have sung in praise of Lord Narayana. Madurakavigal's devotion to his Guru Sri Nammalwar is so deep.

One of the 12 alwars (Tamil vaishnavitesaints) ie Kaliyan proclaimed that hehad been wasting time and enjoying earthly pleasures without knowing the Existence of the Lord Narayana. Once he came to know of HIM , he was very much enthused to praise Him .There is none superior to Lord Narayana!This is the essence of his tamil Hymn. Kaliyan known as 'Thirumangai Alwar " had done yomen service to Lord Narayana . the Alwar was so fortunate that the Lord Narayana appeared before him , when the Alwar way laid Him along with His consort Lakshmi, to loot all His belongings. When the divine couple suddenly disappeared after leaving all their belongings, the Alwar realised.

A vaishnavite is a person who worships Lord Narayana only. It is irrrespective of caste ,creed, race etc. Many Alwars (Tamil saints) have sung in praise of Lord Narayana. Many of them do not belong to the upper caste ,Brahmins. But they were devotees of Lord Narayana. The sacred "Nalayira Divya prabandham" Called Dravida Veda, is a testimony to their devotion. Lord Narayana had taken many Avatars to protect the people from the wicked. Out of the Ten avtars(incarnations) ,Rama Avtar and Krishna Avtar are considered very important. In Rama avtar ,He was an ideal person of all good characters &conducts. He gave moksha(liberation) to many ,killed Ravana the big Demon and established a kingdom which was full of prosperity, cheer to all . In Sri Krishna Avatar we got the world famous "Bagawad Gita".
The utterance of the name "Rama " relieves you from stress and distressfaced. Meditating and chanting "Ram " Ram" will definitely give solace. This is my practical Expereince in life. It is not necessary to pray to Him to grant you your wishes.You simply pray asking for nothing in particular. He knows what you need and will get you .
My sincere advise to all to meditate atleast for 20to 30 mts a day ,sitting on the floor or at any convenient posture ,close the eyes andkeep chanting the name of the Lord "Rama,Rama"
